Prague Bike Fest at Výstaviště is back!
Na Výstavišti

Bike Prague Fest

February, 2024 – Following last year’s première, when four thousand visitors came to the event, the gates of the Prague's Výstaviště will once again open to all fans and lovers of cycling. On the weekend of 27 – 28 April 2024, all cycling enthusiasts can look forward to the biggest cycling holiday of the year: Prague Bike Fest. Over the course of two days, visitors will enjoy a heaping serving of adrenaline shows, exhibitions, workshops, organised rides with well-known athletes, bike testing, as well as an after party and gastronomic delights. There will also be a presentation of renowned and new brands that represent the best the world of cycling has to offer. Children will also have something to look forward to. A brand new children's test circuit will be prepared for them under the guidance of experienced instructors. The cherry on top will be the adrenaline-filled Big Air show starring Teodor Kováč. In the middle of the Brussels Road, at a height of up to 7 meters, he will perform his most difficult tricks such as a double-back flip, front flip with no hands or 720-degree spin. The main partners of Prague Bike Fest are Sazka and Škoda Auto.

For enthusiasts and recreational cyclists

An extensive program awaits visitors not only in the outdoor areas, but also in the pavilions, which provide comfortable facilities for presenting the latest equipment from the world of cycling with the possibility to try out selected pieces right there. Those of a more laid-back nature will also find lots to do at the Bike Forum Stage, where travel lectures, interviews and discussions on the topic of safety and electromobility will take place. The pleasant atmosphere of the entire event will continue at Saturday's follow-up party in Křižík Pavilion B, which will first feature the rhythms of "slow techno" and will then be followed by an exhibition performance by BMX Flatland. Everyone with a valid ticket to the Prague Bike Fest is invited.

“That we are a nation of cyclists is generally well known even beyond our borders, I think, and that’s why we came up with the concept of a cycling festival together with our partners. And although we were not in any doubt, I don’t think anyone expected such a response for the first year from the general and professional public. Of course, the weather helped us out a lot last year, but this success of the first year gave us a real incentive to expand the festival to two days. I believe that this will be welcomed especially by visitors from the far corners of the country or even by foreign lovers of cycling, adrenaline and sports in general,” commented Tomáš Hübl, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Výstaviště Praha, a.s.

Adrenaline rules once again on Brussels Road

“An eight-metre-high start tower will be going up once again in the middle of Brussels Road, leading to a 3-meter high take-off and a 6-meter long jump. This is where I’ll be flying up to 7 metres off the ground with other top riders from the Czech Republic and Slovakia as part of the Big Air Show. Before the festival, however, there will be an Instagram competition for the opportunity to join us and participate in a workshop in the Big Air zone, where we will select another 15–20 promising riders who will prove to the jury that they have the skills it takes to cope with this obstacle. So, if you feel that all the jumps around you are too small, don’t miss this opportunity," stated Teodor Kováč, Ambassador of Prague Bike Fest, extending an invitation. The workshops will take place both days outside exhibition times.

Not only is Výstaviště Praha, a.s. behind the concept of the Prague Bike Fest festival, but also MVP events s.r.o. The representatives of Ski and Bike Centrum Radotín contributed their cycling expertise, the main partners of the festival are Sazka and Škoda Auto, who deserve a big thank you not only for the financial support of the festival.

What can you look forward to?

  • A presentation of the most interesting cycling news and accessories of Czech and foreign brands.
  • The rental and testing of bikes of all categories, including electric bikes.
  • The Big Air show & workshop, where riders will fly up to 7 metres above the ground. The exhibition will be held 2–3 times a day and the top Czech and Slovak leaders in this discipline, such as Teodor Kováč, Jakub Vencl and Dan Miler, will be showing off their best tricks here. There will also be an autograph session with the riders in addition to the exhibitions.
  • Under the guidance of experienced cycling instructors, a track full of minor obstacles and slaloms will be prepared for children in the children’s skill zone.
  • Travel lectures and expert discussions will take place at the Bike Forum Stage. The Czech Freestyle BMX association will also announce the best riders of 2023 there.
  • The freestyle BMX street jam will break out in the skate park on Saturday after 4 pm. Those interested will also be able to try freestyle BMX bikes under the supervision of instructors.
  • The Fixed Gear Race will be sure to generate interest. The racers will compete on a short circuit full of turns, slaloms and other elements that guarantee that the riders will never get too far apart.
  • Organised collective rides for fans and riders of road and mountain cycling will be led outside the festival area with the destination at Výstaviště. You can also look forward to multiple-hour tours with a certain theme: a ride with a well-known athlete, a ride to a selected place, etc.

This event, unique in the Czech Republic for its focus and diversity, is intended not only for cyclists and cycling enthusiasts, but also for anyone who enjoys a proper show, sitting in the park in the pleasant company of family or friends, getting to know the latest news from the work of bikes and e-bikes, listening to interesting lectures, or partaking in some good food and drinks.
